This privacy policy describes how the website mynotes.digiwavelab.com ("the Site") processes data when you visit it. It applies to the Site itself. The operation of the My Notes mobile app is described separately at the end of this document, for information purposes.

3. Data Collected on the Site

The Site uses no personal data collection forms (no account, no newsletter sign-up, no comments). The only data processed relates to audience measurement.

Audience Measurement — Matomo

We use Matomo, a website analytics tool, configured as follows:

Visitor IP addresses are anonymized (the last bytes of the IP address are removed before any data is recorded);
No cross-referencing with other processing activities or databases;
No data is shared with any third party or used for advertising purposes;
Statistics are used solely to understand how the Site is used (pages visited, referral source, device type) in order to improve it.

Given this configuration (anonymized IP, no advertising purpose, no data cross-referencing), this processing meets the criteria for exemption from prior consent under French CNIL guidance on audience-measurement tools, which are broadly consistent with the "legitimate interest" basis recognized under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). You are nonetheless informed of this processing through this policy and may object to it (see Section 6).

If you are visiting from the United States or Canada: the Site does not sell or share your personal information with third parties for monetary or other valuable consideration, and does not use your data for cross-context behavioral advertising. As such, no "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" mechanism is required under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), and no separate consent banner is required under Canada's PIPEDA, since the analytics processing described above involves no advertising or commercial data-sharing purpose. You retain the rights described in Section 6 regardless of your location.

No Advertising, No Other Trackers

The Site displays no advertising and uses no other tracking tool, advertising tracker, social media pixel, or third-party service such as Google Analytics.

4. Purpose of Processing

Browsing data (via Matomo) is used solely to:

Measure traffic and usage of the Site;
Improve the Site's content and usability.
5. Legal Basis and Retention Period
Legal basis: the publisher's legitimate interest in measuring the Site's audience, consistent with CNIL guidance on tools exempted from consent, and with the "legitimate interest" legal basis recognized under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.
Retention period: statistical data is retained for a maximum of 13 months, in line with CNIL recommendations.
6. Your Rights

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable French data protection law, and, where applicable, under the CCPA/CPRA (California) or PIPEDA (Canada), you have the following rights regarding your data:

Right of access, rectification, and erasure;
Right to object (in particular, you may opt out of the Matomo processing that concerns you);
Right to restriction of processing;
Right to data portability;
If you are a California resident, the right to know what personal information is collected and to request its deletion, subject to the limited scope of data described in Section 3;
If you are a Canadian resident, the right to challenge our compliance with PIPEDA.

EU/EEA residents also have the right to lodge a complaint with their local data protection authority, or with the French CNIL (Commission Nationale de l'Informatique et des Libertés) since the data controller is established in France — www.cnil.fr. California residents may contact the California Privacy Protection Agency; Canadian residents may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

7. Data Recipients

No data collected on the Site is sold, rented, or shared with third parties for commercial purposes. Only the publisher's technical team has access to Matomo statistics, strictly for the purpose of administering the Site.

8. Cookies

The Site uses only a technical cookie set by Matomo, necessary for the operation of the anonymized audience measurement described above. This cookie does not allow you to be individually identified and is not used for any advertising purpose.

9. Security

We implement reasonable technical measures to protect the data processed against unauthorized access, loss, or disclosure.

10. About the My Notes App

The Site presents and allows the download of the My Notes mobile app. It is important to note that this app operates independently of the Site with respect to data processing:

The app requires no account and no sign-up;
Your notes are encrypted locally on your device;
In the case of optional synchronization (pCloud, Dropbox, OneDrive, Google Drive, or WebDAV), data travels only between your device and the cloud service you have chosen, with end-to-end AES-256 encryption;
No data from your notes passes through or is stored on our servers; the publisher has no technical access to the content of your notes.

Your use of third-party cloud services (pCloud, Dropbox, OneDrive, Google Drive) remains subject to their own respective privacy policies, over which we have no control.

11. Changes to This Policy

This privacy policy may be updated at any time, in particular to comply with any regulatory or technical developments. The date of the last update appears at the top of this document.
